My name is pronounced ‘dee dee’. It’s a nickname, and yes, it’s a funny story. My primary aim with The Foxy Flexitarian is sharing our flexitarian discoveries with the hope that you’ll also enjoy and benefit from them.
I’m an avid cook and herbologist who enjoys eating food as much as I do growing it. I’ve been using food (whole unadulterated plant-based foods + herbs + spices) as medicine for more than 30 years. I like to focus on quick, no-fuss meals with lots of big, bold flavors the whole family will love. Putting my own tasty herb-and-spice spin on a classic meal or flavor combination is my passion!
I believe at the granular day-to-day level, eating is a major source of pleasure. I also believe that food that is healthy and food that gives pleasure are not mutually exclusive.
When not involved in cooking I train ordinary people to become family herbalists, and to start their own full-time or part-time herbology businesses, and health coaching practices. I also do voluntary work for national and international gardening associations, and I coach private clients to transform into a flexitarian way of living.
I’m a Lifelong Learner. Here are a few of my credentials:
